Ingredients
Serves: 2
Preparation time: 1 hour
Cooking time: 30 minutes
Ingredients
For dumpling:
1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
½ cup water
5 tbsp Naturel Premium Blend Cooking Oil
2 tbsp corn starch
½ small onion, chopped
60g shiitake mushrooms, chopped
250g minced chicken
2 sprits spring onion, chopped
1 tsp sesame oil
1 ½ tbsp soy sauce
½ tsp sugar
1 tbsp Shaoxing wine
For dipping sauce:
½ cup Naturel Organic Balsamic Vinegar
5-10g ginger, finely sliced
Cooking Method
Pour the flour in a large mixing bowl. Gradually add water to the flour, mix thoroughly, and knead into a dough for 10 minutes.
Cover with a damp cloth and let the dough rest for an hour.
Heat 2 tablespoons of Naturel Premium Blend Cooking Oil over medium heat in a large pan.
Add the chopped small onion and cook until translucent. Then add the chopped shiitake mushrooms and cook for 4 minutes
Transfer to a bowl, along with the minced chicken, sesame oil, soy sauce, sugar, Shaoxing wine, and 3 tablespoons of Naturel Premium Blend Cooking Oil.
Use a pair of chopsticks to mix the fillings together in one direction for about 5 minutes, until the mixture resembles a paste.
Lengthen the dough and then divide it into 24 equal pieces. Then, roll out each piece into a rough circle about 3½ inches in diameter, and add about 2 tablespoons of filling.
Pleat the dumplings and ensure they are tightly sealed. Continue until all the dumplings are assembled.
